‘CREATIVE THINKING’ AND ‘PLAY-ROOM’ PROVIDES THE KEY TO BUSINESS SUCCESS FOR MECHATRONIC
Mechatronic Solutions, a leading supplier of automation solutions, saw its business grow by 50% last year, thanks to a £1 million contract won to design and build bespoke automation machinery to produce interior trim for the Land Rover Equipe. This growth has led to the company relocating from Sheldon to a site in Kings Norton Business centre. The new unit is double the size of the company’s previous premises. Current contracts in this trading year are giving 100% multiplier of growth in automotive and other diverse industries and will lead to additional employment and premises.
Taking centre stage at the new factory is Mechatronic’s Kaizen development and application room, referred to as the ‘Play Room’ by the Mechatronic team. The ‘Play Room’ is where most of the design team’s creative ideas are generated through sharing of ideas and best practice. This innovative approach to development and problem solving sits at the centre of Mechatronic’s ethos and has provided the platform not only for business growth but also for the growth of its people.
